Good Home Protection Shotgun?

Have any of you guys tried or know anything about the Dominion Arms shotguns? Their size seems to me to be only good for defense purposes.
Single and double Barrel seem fool proof. Pump moel has 4+1. any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Also would you recomend reduced loads because of the size?

They can't:

In the United States, due to the National Firearms Act, it is illegal for a private citizen to possess a sawed-off modern smokeless powder shotgun (a barrel length less than 18 in. or 46 cm and an overall length less than 26 inches) without a tax-stamped permit from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, which requires an extensive background check and a $200.00 fee for every transfer.[1] (Short-barreled blackpowder shotguns, in contrast, are not illegal by federal law and require no tax-stamped permit, although they may be illegal under state law.) A new tax stamp must be purchased with every transfer of a modern smokeless powder short-barrelled shotgun, and transfers must be made through a Class III Federal Firearms Licensed (FFL) dealer.[2]

I am not sure in the US, but in Canada as long as the manufacturer made it that way, they are legal. Apart from that they are considered non-restricted "long guns".

They are legal in the US. Just need a tax stamp. it is an AOW under NFA rules.

But you are in Canada, so US law doesn't matter.

That looks to be a rip off of the Remington 870.

I don't know about the pricing in Canada, but in my neck o the woods, a real live 870 Wingmaster can be had for 150FRNs, or about half the price on that website.

Even if it cost more, get the real deal. You're talking home defense. IOW, your life is on the line. Pony up another 100 bucks (if necessary) and get a shotgun that flat out doesn't fail.

Or trust your family's life to a chinese knock off. You'll probably be OK.

Sometimes it aint the odds, it's the stakes.

Beef is right. Can't go wrong with a 870.
Worth the few extra bucks.

This difference between the serbu and dominion is the serbu is an AOW and the dominion is a SBR. It comes down to the pisol grip versus the rifle stock.

Concidence that I've been looking over this problem. The extra $195 is probably worth it, when you consider the kick going to your shoulder or your wrist.

I'm going serbu because it just looks so damn cool.
